Fallon Youth Center

Fallon Youth Center

The Fallon Youth Center exists to inspire and empower the youth of Fallon, Nevada. Hundreds of children visit the center regularly, many of which experience poverty and the hardships that come with it. The Fallon Youth Center strives to show its children their full potential while giving them a safe and fun environment for activities.

With 80% of Fallon’s youth at or slightly above the poverty level, the City of Fallon hoped to construct a warm and inviting facility dedicated to their youth. The Board of Directors looked to provide hundreds of children with a safe place where kids can be, well, kids.

The City of Fallon invited K7 Construction to bid on the community’s project. K7 prepared a very competitive and award-winning bid. With an extensive network of vendors, subcontractors, and professional services resources, K7’s president, David Knaub, looked forward to exceeding Fallon’s expectations and his role in strengthening the community of Fallon.

Budgeting was imperative in making the Fallon Youth Center a reality. Therefore, Fallon also asked K7 Construction to participate in the Value Engineering process, assisting both Fallon and the William N. Pennington Foundation in achieving the project’s budget.

K7 Construction’s vast knowledge and experience with materials, methods, and value-driven processes proved invaluable in bringing the Fallon Youth Center to fruition.

Testimonial

“Fallon Youth Center was a small project that packed a lot of punch.  There were many design challenges with utilizing half of the construction as conventional and half of the construction as a metal building.  The metal building portion was not your typical metal building either.  VWB and K7 worked closely and seamlessly together to bring this project into a reality for the children in Fallon.”
